Hey Campers and RVer’s

Well, it’s springtime in the Rockies and time to dust off the rigs, air up the tires,

And dig them out of their winter storage space. Just a couple of hints or reminders

As you are preparing for your first campout.

If your rig has been sitting for 5 or 6 months, you may want to freshen your white water holding tank. If your tank is around 30 gallons or less, add ¼ cup of white vinegar to the tank; for more than 30 gallons, use ½ cup, fill the holding tank with water and pump the water through all of your lines, this will help flush the taste of RV antifreeze from the lines also. You can include the water heater in this step or leave it bypassed until you are done; either way works. If you have a Suburban

Water heater, this is a good time to inspect the anode rod and replace it if necessary.

If your water heater is an Atwood or Dometic, you should only use a plastic drain

plug, they should never have an anode rod or metal plug installed in place of a

plastic plug.

Just a reminder, be sure your water heater is full of water before turning it on, or

you will burn out the electric heating element.

All Pro Water Flow Ltd. We are headed to Colorado and will be ready to

clean the tanks! If you need hydro-jet cleaning of your tanks, please call me at 719-651-5213 and we will get you scheduled at your convenience.
